Alghero
FR : la baie en face d'alghero a deux facettes. Par mistral (Nord-Ouest, ou par vents modérés d'Ouest à Sud, le spot est propice au freeride, protégé par le 'capo caccia'. Attention aux brise-lames et aux rochers près de la petite île de 'maddalenedda'. Lorsque le vent souffle en tempête de sud-sud-ouest, on peut retrouver l'une des plus grosses vagues de Sardaigne déferlant à 800 m au large sur un récif au nord de l'île. C'est incroyablement bon, mais malheureusement trop rare. -------------------- EN : the bay in front of alghero has two faces. With the Mistral (North-West) or with moderate winds from West to South, the spot is suitable for freeriding, protected by the 'capo caccia'. Beware of the breakwaters and rocks near the small island of 'maddalenedda'. When the wind is blowing in a south-southwest storm, you can find one of the biggest waves in Sardinia breaking 800m offshore on a reef to the north of the island. It's unbelievably good, but unfortunately too rare.
