Funtanamare
FR : Spot de Kitesurf, Windsurf et de Wing. Avec Porto Paglia (excellent spot de surf avec kiosque), Plage Mesu (adaptée aux familles) et Punta S’Arena (fréquentée surtout par les familles), ce spot fait partie de la longue plage de Gonnesa. Le vent souffle tout au long de l’année en direction on-shore/side-on. Le vent du nord-ouest (Mistral) qui prédomine en Sardaigne, souffle assez fort et directement dans tout le golfe et en particulier vers Funtanamare. Le vent d’ouest (Ponente) souffle assez bien du printemps à l’automne si le ciel n’est pas trop nuageux. Funtanamare est un très bon spot avec le vent de Mistral qui forme de belles vagues. On peut accéder à la plage directement du parking. Le spot de Funtanamare est apprécié pour ses vagues en particulier de l’automne au printemps. En été, le kitesurf est toléré par les nageurs et les autorités (généralement la plage n’est pas très fréquentée). La large et longue plage à l’intérieur du golfe en fait un endroit plutôt sûr, mais faites attention aux courants marins qui, en particulier avec une mer agitée, peuvent être insidieux. Si on va de la plage de Funtanamare vers les deux villages miniers de Masua et Nebida, on peut voir l’un des plus beaux paysages côtiers de toute la Sardaigne. Le littoral qui borde les deux localités est formé de roches métallifères à la couleur violacée très particulière. Merci à Alex pour la collecte de ces informations. The west wind (Ponente) blows quite well from spring to autumn if the sky is not too cloudy. Funtanamare is a very good spot with the Mistral wind which forms nice waves. The beach can be reached directly from the car park. The spot of Funtanamare is appreciated for its waves especially from autumn to spring. In summer, kitesurfing is tolerated by swimmers and the authorities (the beach is generally not very busy). The wide, long beach in the interior of the gulf makes it a fairly safe place to be, but beware of the sea currents which, especially with rough seas, can be insidious. If you go from the beach of Funtanamare towards the two mining villages of Masua and Nebida, you can see one of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in the whole of Sardinia. The coastline that borders the two towns is made up of metal-bearing rocks with a very particular purplish colour. Thanks to Alex for collecting this information.
