Porto Botte
FR : Spot de Kitesurf et de windsurf. Le spot de Porto Botte est un spot d’eau plate et de vent fort qui en fait un bon endroit pour apprendre le kitesurf et le windsurf ou pour se perfectionner en freestyle. Les deux spots à l’intérieur de la baie peuvent accueillir un grand nombre de pratiquants en toute sécurité. Le vent du nord-ouest (Mistral) qui prédomine en Sardaigne, souffle fort et directement dans le golfe de Palmas et est considérablement renforcé sur ce spot par le thermique (de mai à octobre quand il y a du soleil ou peu de nébulosité) et d'un effet Venturi produit par le morphologie de ce tronçon de côte. Il peut y avoir 5 à 10 nœuds de vent de plus que prévu ! Le vent du sud-est (Sirocco) venant de la direction opposée, est un peu en rafales et latéral. Le vent d’ouest (Ponente) et le sud-ouest (Libeccio) soufflent bien du printemps à l’automne si le ciel n’est pas trop nuageux. Le vent du nord (tramontane) souffle souvent fort et froid dans la baie pendant toute la saison hivernale (même à plus de 50 nœuds). Porto Botte offre généralement des conditions parfaites tant pour les débutants que pour les riders expérimentés. Pour information, dans la baie de Porto Botte il y a trois spots pour faire de la vague : Il Fortino, dans la partie supérieure de la baie, où il n’y a pas beaucoup de nageurs, car ça n’est pas un endroit idéal pour la baignade, Porto Botte al centro, au milieu de la baie, où il y a zone officielle pour le kitesurf, et Is Solinas, dans le sud de la baie où l’été il y a beaucoup de nageurs. The north-west wind (Mistral), which is predominant in Sardinia, blows strongly and directly into the Gulf of Palmas and is considerably reinforced on this spot by the thermal (from May to October when there is sunshine or little cloud cover) and a Venturi effect produced by the morphology of this stretch of coast. There can be 5 to 10 knots more wind than expected! The south-east wind (Sirocco) coming from the opposite direction, is a bit gusty and sideways. The west wind (Ponente) and the southwest wind (Libeccio) blow well from spring to autumn if the sky is not too cloudy. The north wind (Tramontana) often blows strong and cold in the bay throughout the winter season (even at over 50 knots). Porto Botte generally offers perfect conditions for both beginners and experienced riders. For your information, in the bay of Porto Botte there are three spots for wave riding: Il Fortino, in the upper part of the bay, where there are not many swimmers, as it is not an ideal place for swimming, Porto Botte al centro, in the middle of the bay, where there is an official kitesurfing area, and Is Solinas, in the south of the bay, where in summer there are many swimmers.
